Height-aware Coverage Control

Coverage control for aerial robots where altitude is a decision variable rather than a fixed setting. The central tradeoff is physical: flying higher expands a sensor’s footprint but can reduce measurement quality and spatial resolution.

  • Coverage control
  • Gaussian processes
  • Altitude optimization

HeRoSwarm Weighted Voronoi Coverage

Distributed coordination for robot teams using weighted Voronoi partitions, with safety enforced through barrier-certificate-based control. The project connects coverage theory with real multi-robot experiments.

  • Voronoi methods
  • Barrier certificates
  • Distributed control

Cooperative Standoff Target Tracking

A Lyapunov-vector-field guidance approach for two unmanned aircraft to track a target at a desired standoff distance while maintaining separation and avoiding obstacles.

  • Target tracking
  • Collision avoidance
  • Lyapunov guidance
